“Join us for the 1st Annual Zion National Park group campout on the evenings of May 28 and 29.
Basically I have reserved a group camp spot in Watchman Campground, which is located near the South entrance and shuttle stop. You are free to hike where you want, then come back to the campground for a nice fire and socializing.
The site will hold 40 people, but will be limited on tent space. Please tell me how many people will be in your tent when you sign up. Please don’t bring a 4-person tent for 1 or 2 people. I won’t be pairing people up in tents. It’s not that kind of campout 🙂
There are no showers or laundry facilities at the campground, but are available next door in Springdale. Or, just wear your clothes in the Virgin River. It’s clean.
You’re on your own for transportation, but carpooling is encouraged from Phoenix, as there will be limited parking spots available.
Carrie Vidamo will be hiking up The Narrows. Please talk to her if you’re interested. The Narrows is a very scenic and exhilarating hike up the Virgin river, so you would need to dress accordingly with water shoes.
Please check your schedule before signing up. There will be NO refunds, but you’re welcome to find a replacement for your spot. Remember that there is an entrance fee for Zion NP or you can show your park pass. https://www.nps.gov/zion/planyourvisit/annual-passes.htm
The cost for all of this fun and frolic will be $7/person total for both nights. The amount won’t change if you only spend 1 night. No discounts for having the senior parks pass. Being old won’t help you this time 🙂
You can PayPal the money to [masked]
