Beerfish

Love this place other than a little loud music on the patio.  Stopped by Sunday afternoon and had an amazing tray of 1/2 dozen oysters.  Super fresh and clean tasting and good sized too, served on and bed of ice.  I love that they don’t skimp on the fresh horseradish in the cocktail sauce.  I like my oysters to burn 😉

Also had their fish and chips which were plentiful and really crunchy with a smooth tartar sauce and Cole slaw.   The tartar sauce is the perfect consistency and with just the right flavor.  The slaw is one of the best in town as it is really fresh and not too heavily mixed with mayonnaise or vinegar.  I love the hush puppy that comes along with it as well.  The only thing I might change is that the fries aren’t as crispy as they could be and there are a lot of them.  I never can finish them all and I feel guilty leaving a big pile of them.

It was a hot day and they had the misters going on the patio which makes it much cooler, but it also drenches the tables on the street.  Maybe turn them down a bit (along with the music).  Not a beer guy here so I can’t comment of that, but I will say that the Sauvignon Blanc, was crisp, clean and ice cold.

Yeah for Beerfish!

PS. Lobster rolls are also insanely good.
