As a Just My Ticket member, celebrate 100 years of history and horticulture at the Garden Party of the Century on Saturday, May 9th at Balboa Park. The FREE day-long event will highlight the plants and programs that make Balboa Park San Diego’s gem and one of the world’s most interesting civic gardens. The Garden Party will feature a floral show, special presentations by horticulture hosts and a wide variety of music, special events and activities for the whole family. Park institutions will be open and The San Diego Museum of Art will be FREE for the day. Follow our link for a complete schedule of the day’s events.
9:30am – 10:30am – Kids Floral Wagon Parade
Followed by Marine Corps Commemorative Plant Exchange and Cabrillo Bridge MarchGarden Tours, Floral Show, and Entertainment throughout the day.
4pm – Youth Orchestra of the Californias Concert at the Organ Pavilion
Also enjoy Food Trucks, Free Photo Booth, Plein Air Painters, Floral Artisans & Master Gardener Demonstrations. |
