Festival of Sail
Downtown

The Festival of Sail is an annual event with something for everyone. The event is held over Labor Day weekend each year and starts with a bang! Cannon fire will salute the entrance of the tall ships from all over the world as they parade around San Diego Bay passing by Harbor Island, Shelter Island, Seaport Village and the Coronado Bridge ending up at the Maritime Museum’s docks.
The event includes live entertainment, a petting zoo, cruises on San Diego Bay, cannon battles, sailing on racing yachts, over 150 arts and craft vendors, multitude of food options, interaction with pirates, and more!

Passport Pricing: Adults – $15.00 Seniors (62+) – $10.00
Active duty US Military with ID – $10.00 (Not applicable for dependents) Children (12 years to 6 years old) – $10.00

Sight and Sound Concert by the Bay
Downtown

Sight & Sound presents the biggest monthly music & arts event in San Diego, a Coachella-style experience bringing together the very best in San Diego music, art, deejays, and more. In collaboration with ART SAN DIEGO, Jon Block-creator of Sight & Sound- will present a free concert outside at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront to celebrate the San Diego arts community.

Face Painting Hillcrest Farmers Market
Hillcrest

Hillcrest Farmers Market will be celebrating the long Labor Day weekend by having Face Painting by Carlos return to the market. Stop by and get decked out for the holiday weekend!

The Hillcrest Farmers Market currently consists of 125 vendors offering a wide variety of locally grown in-season fruit, produce, gifts, arts and crafts, and flowers. Many of the local California Farmers participating in the market grow their produce organically or with no pesticides. The market also hosts a large variety of prepared food and hot food items with an emphasis on international cuisine.
